Monday Morning Rally!

Please join us every Monday  for our Morning Rally at 8:45 in the quad area. This year we have student council running it.  It is a quick morning whole school gathering where we dance, do the flag salute, celebrate birthdays,  and give awards.

Mission

The mission of Sandra Tovar Medeiros Elementary School, exemplary and diverse learning community, is to ensure that all students excel academically and demonstrate positive character traits in a dynamic, safe, student-centered environment by delivering creative, rigorous instruction along with comprehensive curriculum to maximize individual student potential in collaboration with parents, families, and the community.

Medeiros Elementary School provides a free public education for all students

Section 5 of Article IX of the State of California Constitution guarantees students a "free public education." In effect, all educational activities carried on by public school districts, extra curricular, must be without cost to the students who participate in such activities. Thus, no mandatory fees will be charged for participating in but not limited to such extra  - curricular activities as drama, music, and athletic competition. Furthermore, fees will not be charged for an activity even if the district waived fees for students that are financially unable to pay. 

Turlock Unified School District prohibits discrimination, harassment, intimidation and bullying in educational programs, activities, or employment on the basis of actual or perceived ancestry, age, color, disability, gender identity, gender expression, immigration status, nationality, race or ethnicity, religion, sex, sexual orientation, parental, pregnancy, family or marital status, or association with a person or a group with one or more of these actual or perceived characteristics. TUSD requires that school personnel take immediate steps to intervene when it is safe to do so and when he or she witnesses an act of discrimination, harassment, intimidation, or bullying.
